Update 1.33: FishColony

Hello all,
Today we reinvent the server as FishColony, a peaceful fishing game where you catch various items to earn XP. Oh also we added new fishing tools such as Spearguns and Harpoon Cannons, which can be used for peaceful fishing use cases, we promise. You also get to play in Krillhouse, a fish tank map which bears no resemblance to any other maps with violent names, and your ene- I mean friends now peacefully burst into fish when being defeated.
Oh and your favorite mutator event of the year is back as well, but with much less appearance chance and focus on endless mutator spam than last year.
FISHCOLONY SPAWN
We have added a new Spawn where you can fish peacefully, visit the fish market, and the target practice range where you can learn to aim your new fishing tools.
You will get a fishing rod as soon as you spawn in! The Hunger level of players in spawn has also been adjusted to allow players to eat the fish they catch.
EARN XP FROM FISHING
You can now earn XP from fishing at spawn!
The XP you earn from fishing depends on the item you obtain. Bonus XP will be awarded based on an item’s enchantments. Happy gamb- I mean fishing!
NEW MAP: KRILLHOUSE
Krillhouse is a map inspired by Killhouse’s layout, but takes place inside a massive fish tank, built by James_4007. Available for a limited time, with very high probability to appear in the map vote. Some interesting cameo structures can also be seen making an appearance in this map…
NEW WEAPON: SPEARGUN
The Speargun is a fishing tool that fires a metal rod to catch fish, but in this case it ricochets around the map and deals high damage to enemies instead. Unlocked for beating Nautilus on any difficulty or getting 25 kills in PVP during the FishColony event. Model by GunColonist.
Note: you will be able to keep the new weapons forever, but we can’t guarantee the fun stats will always stay the same.
NEW WEAPON: HARPOON CANNON
The Harpoon Cannon is a ship-mounted cannon used for whaling. It fires a very powerful harpoon with the same ricochet effect as the Speargun. Explosive harpoons are available as a modification. Unlocked for beating Nautilus on Expert difficulty or above, or getting 100 kills in PVP during the FishColony event. Model by Trexar.
PVP MUTATORS EVENT
Today, one quarter has passed in a year. And with this year, one quarter of a millennium has also passed in the history of– wait don’t mention that name this is meant to be a peaceful update! PEACEFUL!
— Anyway, today one quarter has passed in a year, just like any other year, so we’re bringing back our yearly PVP mutation festivities to celebrate the occasion.
- Various mutated modes are now available in PVP for a limited time.
- This year, due to player feedback we are focusing much less on large mutator spam combos.
- Enjoy single-mutator gamemodes, as well as themed mutator combos that provide unique, coherent twists on gameplay.
OTHER CHANGES
- Defeated enemies in PVP now burst into fish mobs.
- Defeated mobs in Mob-Arena now have a small chance of bursting into fish mobs. The fish mobs can sometimes drop cooked fish. Bosses will always burst into fish mobs.
- A new FishColony icon for the Discord server has been added
