GC Loadouts

Here is an idea for a new type of loadout system that should work nicely on the server if executed correctly. (As a small note, the system is heavily based of TF2.)

The system begins with the selection GUI, where four roles and three loadouts per role are presented. Each role has its own unique set of primary weapons that can be selected to one or all of its loadouts. An example set of roles could be Soldier, Marksman, Scout and Specialist that respectively only equip Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, SMG's & Shotguns and HMG's & Shotguns.

In the loadout editor you can edit the roles primary, secondary, melee and even the armor if cosmetics are added. Accessing the loadouts can be done by left clicking one of the three items (in this case glass panes) below your wanted role. To further select your weapons, you simply left click on the items right side of a weapon icon that states the weapons type.

In-game, these roles will provide no extra bones in maneuverability, survivability or fire power. The only differences between the roles (excluding equipable weapons) are their appearance with each role having their own set of armor that indicates their role.

Finally, this system will only replace the loadout system in the casual modes.

In the grand scheme of things, the target of this system is to simplify the loadout system to allow players to easily equip, switch between and edit to their needs. Our current system does well, however lacks in simplicity requiring a basic understanding in economics and a bit more complex understanding in GC weapons to correctly setup the build menu.

Another more straight forward approche that I have thought of before is to simple add loadouts with no extra gimmicks, however while serving the same task I would go deeper with this. Negatively my system does restrict players quite the bit allowing only two loadouts per weapon type, however it provides a more straightforward logcial approach for new newcomers and also gives some flair to casual with the different armor sets.

TL:DR A loadout system similar to tf2 should be added to fix the problems with our more complex current system. In a bigger picture though, our GUI needs to be updated.

Basically the old loadout system before the economy... With visual enhancements, I like it.

I don't remember this too well, but isn't this how pvp used to work? Or was that mobarena or whatever? Whatever it was, This is a great suggestion that id love to see implemented into the main game. Based on previous experiences in GC there was a place in the pets world that features class pre sets in chests.
